Michael Tanner is a musician and recording engineer from the south ofEngland recording under the names Plinth, Thalassing, The A.Lords (whorecently released a critically acclaimed album with cult songwriterMark Fry) and is an active member in improvisation-folk group UnitedBible Studies. His new project, The Cloisters, is an exercise in earlyvocal music and lengthy string movements filtered through primitivesampling methods, with an
album released on Second Language Music in late 2012.
