"Spaceship is the recording and performing name of Mark S. Williamson. Active, on-and-off, since the mid-nineties, Mark’s music has encompassed Cosmic Jokers-style Kraut wanderings, atonal guitar workouts, ultra-repetitive riff-o-rama and extended drone pieces.
Over the years Mark has released music on Fuck Off & Di, Apollolaan and his own Spaceship Pictures label. Although live performances have been sporadic Mark has appeared on bills with Fleetwood’s Earthling Society, Dorset’s Matthew Shaw and Wincester’s Crater; and played on a number of occasions at, the Lunar Dunes organised, Club Dune off London’s Ladbrook Grove.
Last summer saw Mark appear at Supernormal 2012 as a member of Stephen Bradbury’s Black Tempest, a role he will be repeating at Woolf Music.
2013 has seen the first release by Mark’s new side project, Crock Oss, and will soon see the new Spaceship album; Kelvedon Hatch.
For this performance Mark will be performing a version of Kelvedon Hatch, a semi-improvised piece consisting of drones, guitar and field recordings from a nuclear bunker."
